英国价值
The DfE have reinforced the need "to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of 民主, 法治, 个人自由 and 相互尊重 and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."
The Government set out its definition of British values in the Prevent Strategy: these values are reinforced regularly and in the following ways:

- 个人自由
- 相互尊重
- tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
We teach 英国价值 through planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum. These values are taught explicitly through our Personal Development and Religious Education (RE) lessons.
SMSC and personal development are essential to ensuring that our students become kind, determined and proud members of society and encourage them to become the best possible people they can be. We are committed to preparing students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life beyond the Academy, in modern Britain and the global marketplace.
Through our SMSC provision we ensure that students develop their self-knowledge, 自尊和自信. That they are encouraged to respect other people and to take responsibility for their own behaviour. We also promote fundamental 英国价值 ensuring that through our student council students understand 民主 and the importance of rules and laws.
We take opportunities to actively promote British values through assemblies and through whole school systems and structures such as 学生领导 opportunities. We also actively promote the 英国价值 through ensuring that our curriculum planning and delivery includes real opportunities for exploring these values. Actively promoting 英国价值 also means challenging pupils, staff or parents expressing opinions contrary to fundamental 英国价值, 包括“极端主义”观点.
学生领导
作为我们课程的一部分, students in all year groups have the opportunity to run as a student leader at the academy, working democratically with their team and being an advocate and voice for their academy peers. They campaign with their vision for the academy within their tutor/year group to become a representative to join the 学生领导 Team. 学生领导 work closely with teachers and the Principal to debate current issues and bring about democratic change.
